                                2017 AGC of Kentucky President
David  Opalka is currently the Kentucky Area Manager for Turner Constructio David has worked in the construction industry for 22 years of which the last 14 of them have been with Turner Construction Company.

David graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1997 from the Engineering College with a Bachelor of Science of Engineering. David has served professionally on several area boards such as the USGBC of KY, Heroes Night Out of KY and ACE Mentorking of the Bluegrass. David also serves in an advisory role with the University of Kentucky-College of Engineering.

David has been a part of AGC of Kentucky for many years-serving on the Board of Directors; the Special Events and Financial Oversight Committees; he has also served as AGC's Treasurer and President Elect. David was also the recipent of the 2012 S.I.R. Award from the AGC of Kentucky.





 
                                               

2017 President's Priorities


  • Political Action Committee (PAC)-
    Build our Political Action Committee by educating industry stakeholders of the accomplishments of the association, communicating the importance of the PAC and broadening the base outside our traditional support structure.
     
  • Construction Leadership Council (CLC)-
    Create and launch a Construction Leadership Council to educate, cultivate and engage the next generation of leaders in AGC’s industry betterment and protection initiatives and community building activities.
     
  • Technology-
    Invest adequate resources and attention to create a more robust technological footprint to include development of a new AGC website and upgrades to our .online training module and legislative action center.
     
  • Workforce Development-
    Strengthen and expand AGC’s role and relationship with the Commonwealth’s construction management programs.
